Nancy W. Gemeinhart is the Program Director, Occupational Health Services, for BJC HealthCare in St. Louis, MO. Educated in the fields of nursing and healthcare, she earned a Diploma of Nursing at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, PA, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Maryville University, St. Louis, MO, and a Master's of Science in Health Care Management at Lindenwood University, St. Charles, MO. Gemeinhart is a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri. She has been certified in infection control and epidemiology since 1995. In her current role, she directs the Occupational Health Services Department, which includes occupational infection prevention, occupational health, ergonomics, workers' compensation, and the WellAware fitness center. She is the leader of the Council for Occupational Health Professionals for BJC HealthCare. Her responsibilities include injury and illness prevention for the 28,000 BJC HealthCare employees. She has over 17 years of experience in needlestick injury prevention, and the assessment and management of occupational exposures to blood and body fluids, and manages the BJC Body Substance Post-Exposure 24/7 Hotline.
